The jobholder is responsible to effectively plan, direct and coordinate all manufacturing and related services to ensure the manufacture of quality products.
Develop and formulate long and short range plans, policies, operating procedures and objectives in cooperation with members of the Plant Management Team.
Participate in the development of the Strategic Plan for the Arnstadt Plant.
Key Accountabilities :
Develop and implement a comprehensive Manufacturing strategy which fully supports the Arnstadt Plant business strategy, and contribu tes to the overall operating income, cash flow, and value creation ob jectives.
Develop and implement long and short range plans, policies, programs, operating procedures and objectives, covering the timely and cost ef fective manufacture of products which ensure customer satisfaction.
Ensure the integrity and continual improvement of quality, safety and environmental issues across the manufacturing organi zation.
Effectively manage, evaluate, monitor, and develop the employees to ensure their maximum contribution to the achievement of the organization goals.
Drive change within the Arnstadt Plant production system to attain perfor mance to budget and non-financial objectives that complement the busi ness strategy and goals of the organization.
Direct and supervise proper storage and removal of industrial waste in accordance with legal regulations concerning pollution control and environ mental protection.
Foster an environment of continuous improvement, teamwork and cooperation across all functions to best ensure the successful achieve ment of the company's short and long term business strategies.
Participate with other members of Arnstadt Plant to formulate policies, procedures, and strategies for the Arnstadt Plant Business to direct it to ward achieving objectives and advise the management team of the po tential operations / business impact of their decisions.
Direct and supervise all activities in the field of safety on the job and
Cooperate with works council including negotiations on production related topics
Education / Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required; Master’s degree
8 plus years of experience in manufacturing related field
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience supervising a group of mid or senior level professionals in a manufacturing environment
Recognized expert with ability to convey / train knowledge to others
Proven track record in improvements of production planning and scheduling
Hand-on mentality, highly motivated, self-driven, structured and precise way of working
High reliability and assertiveness
Proficient with Microsoft office products Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, knowledge of SAP preferred
Fluent German and English language skills
