This vacancy is a sales leadership role that oversees sales activities in our midmarket accounts in the AEC industry (architecture, engineering and construction).

You will be managing a successful and enthusiastic team of Territory Sales Representatives in DACH and be responsible for the overall implementation and execution of our channel sales strategy, as well as for your team’s sales results.

This engaged management role provides direction on strategy, sales management and execution, in order to drive business results and meet / exceed our financial and business objectives.

Our new Head of Sales is also responsible for promoting a strong and positive team culture that embraces Autodesk’s Values and Culture Code, and acts as a coach, mentor and leader for their team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the activities of your sales team, including hiring, coaching and developing talent, team culture and performance management
  • Lead your team to focus on exceeding assigned quotas and customer outcomes, and to develop solutions based on ROI
  • Deliver timely and accurate forecasting and pipeline management
  • Generate incremental new business as well as maintain and maximize existing revenue streams
  • Manage execution of strategic sales and marketing programs, including product launches, trade shows, channel development events, and customer forums.
  • Establish and sustain effective, long-term customer relationships
  • Assist Autodesk's channel partners in developing sales and marketing plans related to Autodesk’s AEC industry solutions
  • Direct Sales Execs to effectively work with partners to generate business and ensure the consistent implementation of company initiatives
  • Provide insight to internal organizations on market direction, customer needs, product requirements and business opportunities
  • Ensure CRM tools and Autodesk methodologies are leveraged to process and track opportunities
  • Align team with corporate goals and use SMART goals to deliver results
  • Encourage innovation by exchanging new ideas to improve operation and efficiency within sales and the supporting organizations
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience of leading a successful sales team in a mid-market B2B environment offering complex enterprise software solutions (SaaS / cloud know-how a definite plus)
  • Strong sales process and account planning skills (TAS, Value Based Selling)
  • Proven executive selling and relationship management experience
  • A track-record in managing and growing (global) accounts and sales channels
  • Complex deal negotiation experience
  • Architecture, Engineering and / or Construction industry experience would be advantageous
  • Business fluency in both German and English verbal and written is a must
