We are looking for our new General Manager for Central Europe ("Geschäftsführer"), which is composed of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

This role reports to the General Manager of Central Europe, Benelux & Russia CIS and deals with the market leadership and growth of the Central Europe zone.

The General Manager is strategic, big-picture professional accountable for his own P&L and team. This includes not only financial management but also team leadership across functions within the company (merchandising, marketing).

A successful GM will not only ensure operational excellence but will also be very close to local market & market dynamics, identifying new opportunities for growth.

The General Manager is able to adapt to fast-moving environments

Responsibilities :

  • Decline and communicate the retail strategy & objectives to the network : plan, execute, meet monthly, quarterly, annual target on key business metrics
  • Develop the turnover for Christian Dior Couture in Central Europe through stores openings and consolidation of the existing stores turnover
  • Manage the teams with a specific focus on recruitment, retention and training of employees : be able to develop Christian Dior staff members and identify opportunities to reach potential candidates.
  • Be responsible for overall team success, including finding key teammates, managing, and helping the team grow. Create and nurture a team-

    first, growth-oriented organization

  • Manage and lead the retail network
  • Build brand equity through marketing and merchandising efforts (included but not limited to buying, planning, and budgeting) and by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees;
  • enforcing ethical business practices

    Profil

    Skills mix requirements :

  • 10 years of management experience in the retail luxury industry as General Manager, Deputy General Manager, Country Manager or Retail Director
  • Strong experience in P&L management
  • Experience of Germanic market and Landlords
  • Brand awareness and brand empathy
  • Be able to successfully function in a decentralized management environment, covering several points of sales in the retail market and closely work with Paris HO
  • Digital savvy
  • Muticultural and multi-country management experience
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities, produce excellent work ethic
  • Superior education
  • German & English fluency
  • Location : Head Office Munich
