The purpose of the Internet Channel Trade Marketing Manager role is to be accountable for execution of the online Trade Marketing strategy and initiatives with the online retailers within the cluster, and support the implementation of the Vision Care (VC) EMEA online channel marketing strategy.
High creativity in supporting to build out this new model, flexibility in changing along the way and collaboration in bringing it to life across the local markets / online retailers.
High level of commercial acumen to understand the impact of actions on the downstream con-tact lens fitting base.
High level of skill in integrated e-commerce strategy and Online Marketing initiatives.
High level of autonomy and professionalism to liaise with customers, drive the marketing strategy implementation on their web shops and represent Alcon together with the Key Account Manager.
Support the development of overall EMEA Internet channel marketing strategy, and implement the online channel marketing plans in the Cluster -
aligned with portfolio strategy and overall Alcon go-to-market objectives
Develop and maintain collaborative, close working relationships with local Online Retailers. Create and drive the Marketing Plan of Action with each of the key Online Retailers within the cluster;
translating the Marketing strategy into concrete plans for each retailer, managing their implementation within the webshop and platforms and working with the retailer to analyze results and drive improvements.
Regular customers meetings (with or without online KAMs) and create working relationship directly with the marketing department of the customers
Manage the Cluster marketing budget (A&P)
Develop, adapt and / or localize online campaigns and branded content (as well as manage the internal approvals of such content) to implement within retailers’ websites
Seek to raise the bar of digital marketing competency, and instill best practices across the team and on the websites / brand stores.
Stay abreast of trends in digital marketing and embed them appropriately.
Develop and maintain collaborative, close working relationships with local agencies (if any) to help manage e-commerce campaigns and initiatives.
Partner with local retail marketing organization to ensure alignment to key e-commerce strategies. Support Head Trade Marketing Internet Channel VC to ensure country plans are efficient and effective to drive business and delivery against the strategy
Significantly contribute to the Online Channel team processes and meetings.
3+ years of extensive experience working exclusively in digital marketing leading companies (FMCG e-commerce, healthcare, media), ideally experience in both in B2B & B2C environment
Ability to develop collaborative, close working relationships with customers
A passion for understanding customer and consumer mindset and keeping up with media and technology trends
Experience in developing / running B2C digital campaigns integrating supplier and retailer actions;
Familiarity with segmentation and fluency in data analysis; direct experience with web analytics
Deep understanding of integrated marketing experience and the role digital plays in the marketing mix
Understanding of the digital ecosystem and how web, mobile, social, search and e-commerce channels work together to optimize behavior, acquisition and sales
Team Player with a passion for working across country and customer stakeholders.
Ability to be an individual contributor, willing and eager to work in a hands-on capacity
Ability to collaborate successfully and build relationships with internal teams, suppliers and agencies
Regular business travel within the Cluster is required for this role
University Degree or equivalent; ideally Marketing or MBA
Fluency English and German mandatory, other European languages a plus
