We are looking for a capable E ngineer (m / f / d) for Exhaust Aftertreatment Components to enhance our engineering resources in Europe at our rapidly expanding Aachen Engineering Centre in Wegberg, Germany.
This purpose-built facility opened in 2005 and has the responsibility for powertrain development especially for diesel fuel injection and exhaust gas after-treatment systems.
You will be the engineering interface for ceramic components with our key customers in Europe. You will be responsible for the competent technical consulting regarding relevant new technologies as well as for the development and application from concept phase to series production maturity.
In your daily work you will closely collaborate with our core development teams in Japan and Europe.
What you'll do
Provide technical support on current projects in a multi-cultural global team
Prepare and give technical presentations at the customer
Establish ceramic component future specifications considering our customers’ future demands and system trend
Prepare and coordinate component and vehicle tests in close cooperation with our testing department
Manage technical signoff for projects according to DENSO Quality Management system in co-operation with the customer as well as internal departments
Conduct competitor benchmarking and provide market information about technical trends
What you'll need
University degree in automotive or mechanical engineering or a comparable education such as in natural sciences (e.g. chemical engineering or physics)
Passion for technical products and the automotive field
Basic knowledge on product design, processing and manufacturing methods
Proven project delivery capability in an academic environment or your past professional experience
Fundamental knowledge of combustion technology is helpful to fulfil the role
Comfortable working both independently or in teams using a structured, analytical approach and showing a high quality orientation, combined with a proactive attitude, flexibility and good judgement ability
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Very good command of English (spoken and written), German and other language skills are an advantage
