The opportunity to join Credit Suisse’s Investment Banking and Capital Markets (IBCM) division as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for IBCM Germany.
The Group COO will report into the EMEA COO and serves as the lead person in managing a wide range of matters including strategy, business and financial management, human capital and administrative activities.
Key responsibilities of the role
Your role is to effectively build relationships with top management members across the Group to influence results and deliver value
Drive Group strategic initiatives and client coverage
You will unroll and continuously drive business strategy and initiatives in partnership with the Group Head and partners throughout IBCM
You will broaden and strengthen client coverage strategy and annual revenue targets jointly with group heads and broader leadership team
Drive risk & control regime and initiatives within group
Collaborating with the R&C team, you will implement risk management monitoring activities, cascade communications and execute required actions within the group
You will ensure LCD policies are understood and exercise all supervisory responsibilities
You will serve as Group management point person for any issues related to policy or procedure breaches, identified risk issues any disciplinary matters
Ensure the bankers are aware of changes in our controls culture, receive training, and follow processes appropriately
Monitor financial performance and handle forecasting
Organise and outline the group expense budgets and administer expense policy and approvals
Ensure accurate tracking of key financial indicators (revenues / RAS, costs, contribution, productivity, recoveries, SoW etc)
Conduct and prepare quantitative and qualitative business analysis, including running the financial reporting (pipeline update, forecasts, senior management updates) and working closely with the analytics team in Raleigh and Poland
Deliver Group to T&E target
Human capital leadership
Lead and implement the human capital strategy including talent acquisition, headcount management, training and development, performance management and compensation in collaboration with HR, Compensation and other key support functions
Run all facets of daily operations ensuring compliance with meaningful policies and procedures
Post Brexit coordination
You will act as the liaison between the Frankfurt office and the EMEA and Global teams, and ensure there is strategic alignment across the board
