This is an exciting opportunity for an Employee Relations Director to be based in any of our Cummins locations across UK or Europe.
Your impact will be seen in these and other ways :
Implementation of Employee Relations programs, policies and procedures.
Collaborating and partnering closely with UK Unions, European Work Councils and Business Leaders across the region to review employee relations topics, current legislation in order to anticipate employee relations issues and plans for solutions.
You will be responsible for providing guidance and best practice techniques on consultation processes and national level grievances across the UK & Europe region.
Managing the collective bargaining negotiation preparation process including terms and cost analysis in addition to participation in the collective bargaining process.
You will be the escalation point for difficult conflicts and contract interpretation as well as a key advisor to Line HR & Senior Leadership across the region to review disciplinary actions, grievances and arbitration.
Leading and managing large scale projects including but not limited to : improving the working environment from an employee relations perspective, improving competency levels for employee relations within the HR / Leadership communities and leading job specific onboarding for bargained sites.
The role will include up to approx. 30-40% travel.
Skills and Experience Required :
Significant experience of leading and driving change management programs clearly demonstrating sustained improvement in working environments or processes.
Ability to communicate and network effectively with Business Leaders, HR and company representatives.
Ability to adjust leadership style to the individuals and environments concerned with a strong emphasis on building trust, stakeholder awareness and ability to influence others.
Evidence of working in a heavily unionized environment, either leading or participating in bargained contract negotiations.
Experience of national level grievances is required.
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications :
Educated to degree level within a related field.
CIPD Advanced Level 7 would be ideal.
Additional language skills in French & German would be ideal.

Salary Range £65625 76563 (depending on experience)
