We are looking for a Senior Strategist with a strong focus on brand development, for both new and existing brands. You will be able to synthesise the complex factors that shape and fuel brand performance and create powerful strategies that lead to sustained differentiation and growth.
You will excel at working together with clients and multi-disciplinary internal teams to make your visions a reality, and can adapt your craft to multiple business sectors and cultures.
Located in Berlin, Germany, as part of the AKQA team, you will work in an environment that fosters a dynamic and meritocratic culture, surrounded by some of the brightest minds in their fields.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with AKQA account leads to understand our clients’ business challenges, and guide them towards distinctive solutions for the future of their brands.
Conduct extensive research and digest findings into unique, actionable insights and inspiring creative briefs.
Set objectives and devise measurement frameworks for projects together with the analytics team.
Lead the development of brand, campaign, content, social and other strategies for our clients.
Shape the direction of a pitch, own the strategic elements within it and represent strategy in new business meetings.
Be proactive, provoke debate, and identify what the agenda for future discussions should be.
Expand your influence beyond the immediate team through internal and external thought leadership.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
4+ years of experience in strategic, brand-centric roles within a digital or integrated agency environment is preferable, ideally combined with some client-
side experience in similar roles.
A lateral and creative thinker with the ability to make complex topics understandable.
Inherently inquisitive about human behaviour, brands, society and culture.
Conversant in primary (quantitative and qualitative) and secondary research methodologies and capable of knowing how and when to apply them.
Possesses a deep understanding of the intricacies of brand experience in an omnichannel world.
Confident in delivering cross-channel strategies (i.e. ranging from traditional and digital advertising through to experiential, retail, email, web and social).
You are passionate about collaboration, open-minded, and experienced in working with people from diverse cultures.
You have a sharp attention to detail and a drive for perfection.
You have an excellent portfolio demonstrating your strategic contributions to concepts and projects.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to inspire and persuade. Business German is an advantage but not essential.
