A Sales Engineer at MicroStrategy plays an integral role in sales of our enterprise business analytics and mobility software.
Sales Engineers work closely with sales teams to understand client and prospect technical and business needs and how those can be achieved with the capabilities of our software.
They own the technical dimension of a sales cycle and demonstrate and proof our capabilities either in house or on customer site.
Your responsibility covers :
Present, position and demonstrate the MicroStrategy Solutions
Transform technical capabilities into business value and vision
Close teamwork with Sales and other departments in Sales Cycles
Complete technical Requests for Information
Conduct business and technical workshops
Proof of Concept prototype development on customer site
Represent MicroStrategy at seminars and trade shows
Participate in international (EMEA) team meetings
Support for German operations and other countries in exceptions
Your qualification profile should include :
Master degree or equivalent technical education and business experience
At least 2 years Presales experience in Enterprise Software Solution Sales
Experience with Business Intelligence, Business Analytics products, Data Warehousing or relational database management systems a major plus.
Comfort with SQL is a plus.
Vertical Application knowledge in a major industry
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and business requirements
Hands-on attitude with analytical and creative skills
Demonstrable ability to solve complex technical problems even under time pressure
Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to present with confidence
Ability to travel up to 25%-50% as needed.
Fluency in German and English required
