To our plant in Schönebeck we are looking for

HR Advisor

  • Position Highlight : You will provide professional guidance, support and input to site management regarding recruitment and selection, policies / procedures;
  • employment legislation; employee relations, performance management, health and safety, training and development and organisational design.

    You will also lead and support Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

    How you will impact WestRock :

  • Recruitment & Selection : recruit and select employees including : preparation of job descriptions; write advertisements;
  • short list; conduct interviews, tests and assessments; check references; offer letters and terms and conditions of employment and design and implement induction and onboarding programs

  • Training : identify training needs : designing and implementing training programs advising managers on training issues;
  • driving the Company Development Programme and sourcing training providers including management development;
  • Performance Management : Advise on managing performance and the performance management cycle; administer the process and ensure plan is on track;
  • administer any incremental changes in line with planned training as per site agreements and participate in the annual salary review process

  • Organisational Design : Work with the management team to provide the most efficient and appropriate structure for the site;
  • facilitate the development of a change in culture to mirror other MPS sites

  • Employee Relations : provide advice on employment legislation and industrial relations issues : advise managers on employee relations issues including discipline and grievance
  • Performance Management; advise line managers on managing performance and the performance management cycle; ensure the plan is on track and objectives are set;
  • administer any incremental changes in line with planned training as per site agreements and participate in the annual salary review process

  • Administration : maintain employee records and update the HR system; monitor the absence management process and liaise with departmental managers;
  • gather, collate, analyse and present

    What you need to succeed :

  • Minimum of 2+ years in an HR function preferably in a manufacturing business
  • Graduate level in a relevant discipline
  • Fluent German and English
  • Knowledge of current employment law
  • Good verbal and written presentation / communication skills
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office
  • Exposure to a unionised environment is a plus
  • Able to travel occasionally to sister locations
  • Possess professional aplomb when representing the company
  • Demonstrable evidence of information handling ability and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to organise and plan
