WHAT YOU WILL DO

Your main goal in this role is to help transforming Vaillant Group towards a data-informed company by establishing and managing a central unit which carries out data science and machine learning projects for the entire Vaillant Group

To achieve this goal, you will lead our agile data science team, nurture their skills, attract and retain new talent

You will independently design, develop, and build the Data Science strategy and a central Data Science Hub for the Vaillant Group to ensure and support the global development towards a data informed company

As a trusted expert in your field, you will prioritize projects according to the business requirements, select and implement the latest technologies and methods in your area while managing internal and external resources

Furthermore, you will drive the data literacy within the entire Vaillant Group by representing Data Science and its importance

WHAT YOU BRING ALONG

You have successfully completed your master’s degree in computer science, physics, IT or other natural sciences; a PhD would be a plus

A minimum of five years’ experience in the field of data science and machine learning is a must, combined with a minimum of three years managerial experience

You possess an agile mindset and have a track record in strategically developing and implementing Data Science Methods, Languages and Tools

You value the importance of Stakeholder Management and Demand Management and practice it happily too

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication and presentation skills on all business levels - you speak fluently German and English in your daily business
