Data Analytics team, which is part of the Data Analytics, Technology and Product Organisation of GBT, is at the forefront of providing an extensive range of professional reporting services which among others includes analysis about travel spend and trends, travel booking behavior or supplier spend.
Overall Responsibilities :
Work with one of our strategic clients as well as stakeholders within the business to understand data requirements and then translate requirements into effective reporting, visualisation and actionable insights and recommendations.
Provide information and advice to all GBT / HRG Sales, Client Services, Support Services, Business Managers to enable them to recognise and highlight opportunities.
Develop report solutions within scope and budget, deliver reports internally and to clients in a timely manner and high accuracy as well as in accordance with internal processes / workflows.
Evaluate current reporting solutions and continuously further develop those to meet client’s needs.
Support the streamlining and automation of ad-hoc and standardised reporting functions and create process efficiencies for producing data analytics.
Identify data quality issues and support internal teams in resolving those issues.
Attend regular client meetings in Germany and if needed present data and give advice.
Attend internal meetings in Germany with the client management team and actively support the team from a data analytics perspective.
Key Areas of Activity :
Analysis and interpretation of airline, hotel, car rental and other travel data using Excel, SQL, Access, Tableau and Alteryx and other BI tools.
Modelling of airline, hotel, car rental and other supplier corporate discount programmes to help our clients understand the value achieved and options for negotiation or alternative sourcing.
Working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver accurate information and analysis to clients.
Managing all analytical and data aspects of client reporting.
Playing an active role in generating ideas for new models, reports and analysis which could be developed to enhance our client proposition or to help develop the financial success of the company.
Graduate calibre (Mathematics, Scientific, Operations Research or Computer Science study an advantage)
several years of working experience in a similar role
Experience in the Business Travel industry is desirable
German : mother tongue or fluent in professional German
English : fluent
Key Skills :
Experiences in creating and automating client reporting deliverables with a quality control process
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and advanced user functions
Basic knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
Experience in working with BI tool such as Alteryx, Tableau, Birst, QlikView, MS Power BI, SAP Crystal Reporting and MicroStrategy is desirable
Very strong analytical skills with demonstrable ability to interpret all data sources in order to identify areas of opportunities and recommend solutions
Excellent time management skills and demonstrable consistency in meeting agreed deadlines / time-frames in a pressurised environment
