Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization :
The Senior QA Manager will own the test quality and deliverables. He or she will be the primary contact for all the testing activities and will provide leadership and oversight for the entire team of QA testers.
Key Responsibilities :
Implementing standard testing processes across all campaigns and projects
Regulating and co-ordinating testing processes and standards across multiple and simultaneous projects and campaigns, for various browsers, countries and mobile devices
Managing the test preparation phases for the production of test effort, resource calculation, test data, test cases, test execution plans, and defect report life cycle flows
Identifying opportunities for process refinement / improvement (i.e. : automation) and leading the QA team through definition and implementation
Monitoring and managing test project plans across functions providing resource estimates and establishing tasks and schedules;
prioritizing and delegating responsibilities to the team
Participating in preparation of quality assessments, reports, and metrics as well as formulating go-no go statement based on reports and metrics, test progress and defect status
Planning the best coverage of testing over multiple countries, numerous browsers and various devices to avoid duplication and reduce costs whilst ensuring quality coverage and minimum risk
Operating and communicating with the Digital Activation Managers to resolve schedule, resource, cost, quality tradeoffs with quality and business objectives in mind
Acting as the main liaison communicating between the team as well as the rest of the internal and external organization
Performing process and people management
Identifying the domain expertise required by a given customer or project and verifying that the team resources satisfies that
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Knowledge of all aspects of the software engineering process and in-depth comprehension of software test life cycle
Proven experience in a wide variety of testing efforts, techniques and tools
Excellent communication and people skills, especially diplomacy and advocacy capabilities
Skillful in planning, managing, and problem solving
Proficient in influencing and negotiating with stakeholders for the Quality of Deliverables under pressure from schedule and cost perspective
Strong working knowledge of Scope and Change management process as a custodian of quality
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications :
Required experience : 8+ years, and preferably 4+ years in Testing
2+ years experience managing a testing team, preferably including remote / distributed teams Certification as test manager
College / university degree with a major in Computer Science and / or Business Informatics
Fluency in English
