Job Description

As part of our growth strategy in the field of Conveying & Loading, we are focusing on conveying machines for stockyard and ship loading technology.

These include stackers, scraper reclaimers, impellers and ship loaders. For this purpose we are looking for experienced specialists to strengthen our team.

As a Design Engineer you can be involved in the project team from the quotation phase to the subsequent implementation phase, depending on your experience and focus of interest.

The tasks to be solved by you and your team colleagues are :

Quotation phase

Examination of solution concepts with regard to customer requirements and local circumstances

Definition and dimensioning of stockpile dimensions according to the customer requirements and determination of the main dimensions of the machine with regard to the planned installation situation and the conditions on site

Creation of quotation drawings incl. technical concepts for machines in 2D or 3D, also with regard to the entire system (integration of the machines into a system concept, flow sheet, etc.)

Close coordination with colleagues from proposal, estimation, electrical and structural engineering

Creation of drawing sketches for manufacture, transport and installation inquiries according to requirements and specifications

Implementation phase :

Creation of technical concepts as well as GA-drawings, drafts, floor load plans and rail drawings in 2D or 3D to be handed over to the customer and, if necessary, for subcontracting to national or international engineering service providers during the quotation phase

Coordination with engineering service providers with regard to detail engineering, i.e. review of manufacturing drawings and parts lists

Coordination of purchased items in the area of machine design

Entering and maintaining the machine data in the PDM and in the ERP system (SAP S / 4HANA)

Assistance in the creation oftransport and assembly conceptsspare parts catalogues or lubrication plans in the field of documentation

Qualifications

Bachelor's or technician's degree in mechanical engineering, alternatively a comparable qualification

At least 5 years of project experience in the field of large-scale plants for stockyard and ship loading technology

Expert knowledge in the use of CAD programs, preferably Inventor, Advance Steel, AutoCAD

We prefer you have experience with SAP, but it is not required

Language skills : good communication skills in English, other foreign languages are also an advantage (knowledge of German is not a must)

Strong communication skills and proactivity as well as analytical and conceptual thinking

Willingness to travel world-wide (approx. 5%)
