Possess a minimum of 2 years of CY leadership experience, preferably directing a CY program in a Catholic Church or military chapel setting.
Possess at least 1 year of Catholic Life Teen or equivalent Catholic program experience.
Possess and demonstrate an understanding of the basic doctrines and worship practices of the Catholic faith.
Must have a High School diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) Certificate, or compulsory education equivalency.
Possess the ability to constructively work well with others in a multi-faith environment.
Must understand the basics of planning, developing, and executing a budget.
Shall read / comprehend, write, and speak English fluently.
Possess at least 2 years of experience using Microsoft Office functions.
Be responsible for maintaining the Chapel CY Program for teenagers in Grades 9 through 12.
Ensure the program conforms to the requirements and teachings of the Catholic Church in partnership with Life Teen or equivalent Catholic program.
Changes to curriculum must receive prior approval from the Chaplain prior to advertisement or implementation.
Ensure a minimum of 2 CY retreats per year. CY Coordinator will research and develop the retreat plan for approval by the Chaplain.
Length, location, and purpose will also be coordinated with the Chaplain. CY Coordinator attendance is subject to APF funding availability.
Assist the Chaplain in developing the following in regards to CY Coordinator programs as appropriate : annual calendar of events, Chapel tithes and offerings fund budget, appropriated fund budget, and core volunteer training requirements.
Coordinate and ensure that all purchase requests for CY programs are properly completed and submitted in a timely manner.
Attend all requested meetings to report on CY activities, events, and budget updates.
Coordinate with the Chaplain and chapel volunteers to create effective CY programs for the Catholic faith group.
Ensure recruiting, training, and managing of volunteers for the CY programs.
Maintain electronic attendance records : names, dates, and rosters of all participants and volunteers for the review of the Chaplain.
