Role Summary :
The LeadSoftware Systems Engineer, with an initial focus on Software in radiography NDT(Non-Destructive Testing) and industrial CT Systems, works closely with productmanagement, engineering, functions like supply chain, service customers todefine and establish system performance and image quality that will meetcustomer expectations.
Essential Responsibilities :
TheLead Systems Software Engineer has design responsibility to understand customerneeds and to deliver product quality, reliability, serviceability,manufacturability, regulatory, compliance, and cost that will meet customerexpectations.
Activitiesinclude requirements development, traceability and flow down, systemarchitecture, design analysis, FMEA, developing and executing systemverification and validation test procedures, and providing support tomanufacturing and field issues.
Workclosely with the engineering team, product management and stakeholders toclearly understand customer needs.
Developeffective system requirements from customer / user / stakeholder requirements.
Responsiblefor system requirements flow down and allocation to the subsystems and / ormodules.
Defineperformance, interface, non-functional requirements for our SW developmentswith a multitude of other hardware and software products.
Leadthe design control process from requirement.
M.S.or Diplom Degree in Engineering or Science : Electrical Engineering, MechanicalEngineering, Computer Science, Physics, or closely related field.
Minimumsix years of work experience in the field of X-Ray NDT inspection.
Extensiveexperience with industrial X-Ray Systems & Components, it’s design,application, and development.
Proficientin the use of Software development tools and processes.
DemonstratedKnowledge about modern Software Architectures.
Broadexposure to X-Ray hardware / software / system design; technical depth in one ormore engineering disciplines.
Abilityto develop and provide timely and effective solutions for complex andchallenging design problems.
Abilityto analyze complex issues and decompose these into a manageable set of tasks,then pursue tasks to completion.
Desired Characteristics :
Demonstratedskills in proactively identifying, facilitating and driving closure of actionsand technical risks for a product.
Demonstratedexperience in leading projects with global teams. Applied knowledge of Designfor Six Sigma.
Appliedknowledge of SCRUM / Agile Development.
Stronginterpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter,energizing, results oriented and able to multi-task.
