Analog-Mixed-Signal circuit design engineers are playing a significant role in developing the next generations SMARTi RF transceiver in deep sub-
micron CMOS technologies using state of the art design flows and tools Cadence tools.
We are searching for an experienced Analog-Mixed-Signal designer to strengthen our Munich circuit design group in definition and development of leading edge highly digital transmitter architectures.
In this position you will join a highly motivated, international team and will be responsible for :
Transistor level design of CDAC based RF transmitter blocks for different bandgroups
Developing and implementing innovative ideas for advanced transmitter architectures, in close cooperation with concept design and EM simulation group
Functional and impairment modelling on system level (Matlab and VHDL).
Defining layout requirements and interacting closely with physical design team.
Close cooperation with component verification group, production test development and firmware team, defining verification strategies, test plans and interpret measurement results.
Organize and manage design reviews with peer groups and creating the necessary design and product documentation.
Mentor other team members, organize and pool relevant know-how, identify shortages in design flow and coordinate tool development
Developing methods and concepts for RF circuit synthesis
Master Degree in Electrical Engineering or Information Technology, PhD in Microelectronics / Electrical Engineering is a plus
At least 3-5 years expertise in integrated circuit design, covering Analog-Mixed signal design and RF integrated circuit design
Sound knowledge of typical GHz design challenges, interference, spurious and cross talk mitigation
Experience in high frequency DAC design, concepts and specification
Having worked on PLL and DTC design is a plus
In-depth understanding of IC design tools and simulators, IC layout design, behavioral modelling techniques in e.g. Matlab, VHDL
Ideally familiar with diverse cellular standard requirements
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated and teaming skills
Know how to manage multiple priorities and decision-making ability
