Job purpose

The Director Global Commercial Excellence drives the development and implementation of the Global Commercial Excellence (CE) agenda through supporting the implementation of the CE Operational Plans on the key geographies focusing on the development and sharing of best practices while uncovering opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development and improvement of the Commercial Excellence Playbook and socialization across key geographies
  • Development and implementation of a training curriculum for General Managers, Business Unit Managers, Sales & Marketing Directors and Franchise Managers on Commercial Excellence that stems out of the CE Playbook
  • Uncover CE opportunities at the country level where global can support the local teams and drive turn around
  • Drive CE global initiatives across countries like segmentation & targeting, customer experience tracking as well as development of CE capabilities
  • Lead & Support the countries to execute their Operational Plans through providing methodology as well as best practices across countries and Divisions
  • Development and implementation of a full Digital Sell vision in one specific European country and scale the learnings to other countries
  • Coordination of cross-divisional initiatives together with the Pharma, Oncology and Alcon Divisions
  • Development of a platform that would allow to share best practices across countries
  • Development of global power KPI’s that could be used to track performance across geographies
  • Ensure that the countries are equipped with the right technology to be able to implement the CE agenda

    Minimum requirements

    The ideal candidate will have

  • University degree in Science. MBA or Business degree would be considered as a plus
  • English : fluent spoken and written; any other language is going to be considered as a plus
  • Relevant experience in a Global Commercial Excellence role
  • Strong experience as a Pharma Commercial Consultant (Senior Consultant or Engagement Management level)
  • Pharmaceutical market knowledge and expertise
  • Ability to manage / prioritize multiple projects
  • Strong leadership skills to be able to influence without authority and ensure fruitful collaboration with colleagues at regional and local level as well as many other stakeholders
  • Customer oriented
