Business Manager Germany and Northern Europe (m / f / d)

  • Developing our business by maintaining customers and acquiring new ones
  • Being in charge of large global accounts; developing activities not only in the area but also by supporting global sales development
  • Follow-up of daily activities for negotiation, trouble shooting, complaints, service requirements (e.g. consignment stock or tech support) in line with strategies and guidelines of the business segment
  • Submit quotations or price lists to customers and ensure services are delivered in time
  • Monitor market trends in the area : commercial, technical, marketing and in particular in charge of reporting about all competitive activities and relevant information.
  • Issue quarterly reports

  • Working closely with our internal depts e.g. key account management, techn. service, product management, NBD, customer service, supply chain and business services
  • Developing new business due to projects & maintain the project pipeline
  • Representing the business area at exhibitions and at customers
  • Monitor and manage the local distributors and support them in maintaining existing business and new business development in cooperation with the European distribution manager
  • Audit customer complaints; support the credit control and sample follow up
  • Participate in European sales meetings and industry teams, technical trainings, seminars or telcos.

  • Graduates of applied chemistry or polymer science, preferably with additional business management training (Master Degree is required)
  • Strong sales skills, especially in building up personal relationships, high technical affinity, a minimum of 10 years of experience in polymer tech support and / or polymer sales is required
  • People with good abilities in SAP, CRM, Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes
  • Affinity to our products and our customers industries as well as a passion for giving our customers competent advice
  • People who can move confidently in a versatile, open, and international organization, who enjoy different cultures and who are fluent in German and English (any other European language is beneficial)
  • People who love travelling (60% +) and want to be at the side of our customers
  • Strong affinity to develop new business in different industries while securing existing business
  • Effective team players who enjoy working together in a distributed
  • People with the sense of initiative to work independently in their area
  • People who want to grow as part of an international team and enjoy training opportunities
