Job Description

Expedia are looking for a 3PP EMEA Senior Account Manager to join the business. Your primary responsibility in this assigned point of sales is to initiate, develop and maintain a high quality portfolio of Tour Operator products for Expedia’s fast-

growing customer base in the specific region.

In doing so, you will also continuously work with our Tour Operator partners to help them improve the production potential from their participation in the Expedia marketplace by smartly utilizing the power of Expedia POS’s,.

Position Responsibilities

By consistently using data specific to the market available in Expedient, Expedia’s proprietary market insights and activity prioritization dashboard, and demonstrating your local market knowledge, the senior account manager will :

  • Build and dynamically expand their portfolio of top localpartners by introducing prospective high potential partners to Expedia’s global value proposition and facilitating their on boarding process
  • Negotiate, develop and sustain strong partner relationships by providing significant data insights and excellent consulting services.
  • Maximize the revenue by first class negotiation skills and archive an over markets standard base commission and an over market standard override and negotiate merchandising budgets to promote the Tour Operator product.
  • Be the single point of contact for the Tour Operator and the specific Expedia departments (legal, finance, tax, GRO, etc.)
  • Ensure that the Tour Operator product (content, rates and availability) is consistently optimized and competitive on the Expedia sites to maximize customer conversion and that the product is available on all relevant Expedia channels (SEM, SEO, OPM, etc)
  • Secure additional inventory over high demand and compression periods to satisfy customers’ pressing needs
  • Secure seasonal deals to support the brands’ merchandising and marketing efforts.
  • Continuously promote and develop Tour Operators partners’ high engagement with Expedia’s full suite of : Marketing and merchandising opportunities, specialized brands (e.
  • g. Expedia TD, Travelocity, Ebookers) potential opportunities, connectivity solutions (Traveltainment, Peakwork, Softvoyage) and key support functions

  • Represent Expedia in the local market (especially travel fairs, Tour Operator congresses, Tour Operator partner events), build Expedia’s company profile with key local influencers (e.
  • g. tourism bureau, Tour Operator association, etc.) and provide expertise to the local industry

  • Contribute to cross functional Expedia business initiatives; provide input to the Expedia key departments like SEM, SEO, Product, OPM, etc.
  • Provide ongoing input to Senior management in developing effective and scalable solutions to improve process efficiencies
  • Provide mentorship to colleagues on best practices
  • As an individual contributor or through management of a small team, execute effectively based on KPI metrics (targets, goals and / or strategic objectives) set by LPS leadership
  • This role, with its focus on strategic markets and top Tour Operator accounts, is the epicenter of the New Inventory's team responsibility, which is to ensure that Expedia’s brands’ global customers always find the most suitable package product for their dream trip wherever they want to go, and that our Tour Operator partners can effectively, efficiently and throughout the year, reach Expedia’s unique breath of global traveler demand

    Required Skills & Experience

  • 3-6 year experience in working with a Tour Operator, Travel Agency chain or an OTA.
  • Fluency in both German and English language is essential.

  • Lead negotiations with Tour Operators and find agreements with all key Tour Operators in the relevant markets with economics which are above market standard.
  • Collaborate with ELCA and Tax, ensuring that all Expedia necessary clauses are part of any Tour Operator contract.
  • Solution Alignment

    Excellent analytical and critical thinking ability, including proven general problem-solving skills and an intense curiosity to identify trends and ensuing business needs.
