To support the Global Media Organisation, SANOFI AVENTIS is looking to employ a Global Media Manager at the earliest opportunity.
In this role he will play a key role to develop a world class media organisation.
The position ensures that the planning is in line with the global media management process and its overarching marketing planning framework, on the foundation of best in class qualitative media-
approaches, and that buying and strategic objectives are fully met. Furthermore the Global Media Manager supports the Head of Global Media regarding the development, implementation and monitoring of global product strategies.
The Global Media Manger supports the Head of Global Media regarding the management of the Media Agency and the monitoring and analysis of its deliverables (i.
e. KPI-tracking, performance-tracking, preparing media audits etc.).
The Media Manager challenges the appointed media agencies in order to continuously optimise their performance for SANOFI.
In this role the Media Manager addresses actively any issues in case of weaknesses und underperformance.
The Global Media Manager is responsible for the monitoring, steering of the media investments of all Sanofi brands in all types of media traditional and digital on a global level.
This will be done in close cooperation with SANOFIs regional media managers, the media agencies and the appointed media auditors, and -
from time to time - with procurement and finance.
The role of the Global Media Manager is also to understand and analyse relevant trends, e.g. supply, demand and price trends, changes of the media landscape and its impact on SANOFI and the competitive situation.
The Global Media Manager supports the transformation process towards digital media in close collaboration with the Digital Transformation team, and supports with ideas and thoughtful strategic thinking in order to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of SANOFIs media investments further.
Therefore a proper digital expertise is needed, with a profound understanding of the Digital landscape and technologies regarding the delivery and measurement of digital communication.
Furthermore a robust understanding about the effectiveness of investment planning (ROI planning / econometrics) is expected.
The Global Media Manager has a proper negotiation and trading background with publishers across the different media and agencies, understands the market practices of the media agency business and how the key markets operate in media buying and optimisation.
This experience and knowledge will be applied to achieve best in class buying results.
The position requires a continuous exchange with local and regional media organisation, as well as various stakeholders from Marketing, Digital, CMI, Procurement and Finance within SANOFI.
